Today is Marie Curie's 144th birthday!
She is famously know for her research on radioactivity with her husband, Pierre Curie.
She was born as Maria Salomea Skłodowska on November 7 (today), 1867 in Warsaw, Poland. She died on July 4, 1934 in Haute-Savoie, France due to, ironically, too much exposure to radiation.
